What can our specialists do for you?
Over time excessive wear of weighty earrings can cause ear piercings to stretch in size, and even split the earlobe entirely. When this occurs it is normally beyond the bodies naturally ability to repair itself, and so surgical intervention is required to correct the damage and return the earlobe to its normal appearance.
This procedure involves a simple minor surgical technique conducted in our PDC clinic under local anaesthetic to reshape the earlobe. Patients will be able to operate as normal with immediate effect, although it takes approximately 6 months for the healing process to complete fully. At which point re-piercing of the lobe is possible if desired.
Our GPs will examine the extent of the damage to your earlobe and determine what course of action needs to be taken to return the earlobe to its natural state.
How can our treatments help?
